With 2025 coming to a wrap, I wanted to take a moment to reflect and extend my personal gratitude to our community for coming along with us on Kasih Co-op's journey.

This past year, we have seen expansive growth. We are proud to share that our batik products are now carried at 220+ boutiques in the US, Europe, and Canada. Furthermore, our batik bandanas are now available on Nordstrom online and were featured at the Macy's Pop-Up store in New York.

2025 Highlights

Beyond our retail footprint, we focused heavily on sustainability and professional development this year. Here are a few major milestones:

  • Sustainability: We moved to plastic-free packaging for our batik bandanas and scarves.

  • Nest: We graduated from the 2025 Build a Nest Sustainability Artisan Accelerator.

  • LEEAF: We graduated from the Los Angeles Economic Equity Accelerator & Fellowship (LEEAF).

  • Global Recognition: We were selected to be part of the Global Artisan Project under the Shoppe Object tradeshow in New York.

The Impact on Artistry

What is most exciting to me is not just the numbers, but what our growth allows us to do. This expansion enables us to sustain the centuries-old tradition of the Indonesian batik wax-resist method. It allows us to provide consistent, stable international demand for traditional cultural heritage artistry.

Because of this growth, we were able to add new batik artisans this year for our natural dye batik tulis bandanas. We are also currently in the process of adding even more batik artisans to our collection.

Thank you for joining us in our journey and for helping us keep Indonesian batik artistry alive. Here is to a wonderful 2026!
