It’s always so calming to see our artisan applying hot wax onto our cotton fabric before dyeing it. The tool our artisan used is called canting tool and has been around for hundreds of years. The first video of canting tool is called canting batik byok, it has 7 spots to make a circle pattern in one application. Whereas the second video shows canting tembok where it has one larger spout to apply wax to larger area.
