This is a set of two acacia wood small bowls that is handmade by artisans in Jepara, Java, Indonesia. The wood is first kiln dried to reducs the moisture content of wood before its use. The artisans then handmade the wood to end products by shaping it to form the bowl. The bowl is then finished and polished with beeswax to protect the woods. This treatment is food safe.
You can use this acacia wood small bowl to serve salt, pepper or snacks. Because each board is handmade, there will be some variations in color, shape and size. Each board will exhibit its own characteristics, varying slightly in color, shape and size.
Size: 4 x 4 x 2.75 inches
I received a gift from house guests and wanted to exchange it. Ivana facilitated that process very quickly. I purchased three of the small 4" diameter wooden bowls that I use daily for lots of purposes + a wooden cutting board that's perfect for serving all kinds of finger food.
I like to use them to hold dipping sauce. Can't find anything else like this.
